32 Months Old Updates

32 months and 5 days old

I think I misssed Gwen's 31 months old updates..hehe. I was busy and tired with the moving that time so I guess I missed Gwen's 31 months old milestones. Actually, there is not much difference just a bit more achievements in terms of speech development.

Height: Forgot to measure. Last time I measured, she was already 92 cm. Definitely taller now. She is considered tall at her age coz many people told me she is tall. Hubby's friend told me that Gwen is taller than her 4 years old girl!

Weight: 12-13 kg

Able to express herself better now
1. Although she is not talking clear enough but to me is good enough coz she is able to tell me what she wanted. But most of the time when she is fussing or doesn't know how to tell me she would speak in her own language.
2. Able to have short conversations with her.
Mummy: What are you doing?
Gwen: I'm reading a book.

Gwen: Mama, what are you eating?, What are you doing?

3. She can differentiate big and small and tell me in comparisons which is smaller or bigger.
4. She knows when something is heavy. Her 'heavy' sounded like 'happy'..hehe.

Getting more stubborn and cheekier
1. Always says NO when ask to take shower, eat, change diaper,...
2. Doesn't want to hold our hands when we go out. I hate this behaviour!
3. Uses her fingers to squeeze, pinch our faces/lips(making funny faces on us) and laugh out loud.
4. Sitting on Daddy's belly and bounces on it..hehe. Actually Daddy likes it. Some daddy and daughter bonding there. Me, I will scold her for bouncing on my tummy coz it hurts. :P
5. Now, she invented a new game which is the human slide. She climbs up on the sofa and slide on my lap/legs. T_T

Cute behaviours
1. Likes to bring the handphone to me when there's an sms or a call for me. She knows which is Daddy's or Mummy's handphone.
2. Telling me that she wanted to see the photo that I had just taken. Eg:"Mama, see see."
3. When I put on a hat/cap, sunglasses on her, she sometimes request to see herself in the mirror. Eg: "See mirror."

Physical Development
1. She is getting better in going up the staircase now. Able to climb the stairs by holding on to the side rails. Sometimes crawling up the stairs..haha. But she still prefers to hold my hand when going up adn down the stairs.
2. Jumping with feet above the ground. Likes to jump on the sofa and bed too! Even when holding our hands.

Sleeping habits
1. Refuses to nap. This has been going on for quite sometime. She will kick up a fuss and cry when I ask her to nap. To stop the power struggle, I just let her be. Sometimes, she will end up sleeping in the car when we go out in the evening.:(
2. Her bedtime is around 10.30 - 11.00pm.
3. Luckily, for bedtime she obeys without a fuss. *phew*
4. Lately, no more waking up at night. Hope this will lasts.*fingers crossed*

Eating habits
1. Eats better at home compared to eating out.
2. She likes eating with her hands and she likes cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, brocolli. She likes veggies more than meat!
3. She likes fishballs, hotdogs, fries, nuggets.(Kids just love unhealthy foods..hehe)
4. Constantly snacking. Always want to eat yoghurt, cereals, cheese, oranges and crackers. She often fusses because she wants to eat! Sometimes I don't give her any snacks coz it's way too close to mealtimes. But she still could eat her main meals after snacking..haha...but quite forcefully. :P

One Of The Best Dating Site

Are you considering joining an online dating site but not sure it's for you?

A couple of years ago online dating still had a stigma attached to it. Although people were using the internet as a method of dating, they did not discuss it with friends or colleagues for fear of coming across desperate.

I recall a friend of mine who was initially embarrassed to tell me she had joined an online dating site. At the time, I was rather surprised as she was an attractive girl who would be considered quite a catch. However, after chatting to her I completely understood why she had resorted to this method of dating; she was simply tired of meeting timewasters who were not interested in committing to a relationship. She was simply being proactive in her search for love; after all life is far too short!

We now live and date very differently to previous generations where the traditional place to meet people was in nightclubs, parties, at work or through friends. By joining an online dating site for passion search, you are not excluding these avenues but simply extending your opportunities of meeting someone. is the fastest growing dating site that offers instant messaging, video chat, chat rooms, dating services and swinger parties. Feel free to sign up for an account because it’s absolutely free and enjoy 100% free video live chat and member to member instant messaging.

Eating With Style

As I have posted pics of Gwen wearing my old sunglasses before, Gwen was really having fun wearing those sunglasses. During weekends we usually eat out. There was one particular day, Gwen was playing and wearing my sunglasses when we were about to go out for lunch at a nearby food court. I told her to leave the sunglasses behind but she was so reluctant to part with it and was about to make a big fuss over it. In the end, I just let her take the sunglasses along.

When we were at the food court, some of the patrons and waiters were looking at her and smiling at this silly little girl..hahaha. The whole time when we were eating, she was still wearing the sunglasses so mummy took the golden opportunity to take some photos of her...hehe.

Smiling from ear to ear with her 'purple' sunglasses..hehe

Her favourite vege, cucumber and her orange juice(actually it was mine):P

Like father like daughter

Gwen's Baby Cousin

Last Saturday, we attended my younger sister's baby boy fullmoon party. Finally, my only sister has become a mother. Welcome to motherhood my dear sis. :) Gwen was walking in and out of the baby's room admiring her newborn cousin..haha. She was saying "Baby sleep" and standing by the crib watching him sleep or maybe she was eyeing on the toys hanging over the crib..haha.

My baby nephew was sleeping the whole time we were there so we didn't get a chance to hold him. But we still managed to take some photos crowding around the crib...haha.

Here's an inspirational quote dedicated to my dear sis:

"A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path."

Seeing Straight With Zenni Optical

I wear contacts most of the time, but I needed a spare set of glasses. Prescription eyeglasses nowadays are very affordable which does not burn a hole in your pocket. According to an article by New York Times, you could get a cheap pair of backup glasses, from, which sells generic frames, including lenses with antiscratch coating, for as little as $8. It is just a matter of knowing what style looks good on you, finding a pair that you like, and choosing them. Honey Stars..Yummy

Ever since I introduced Honey Stars to Gwen, she has been asking me for it everyday. She would pull me to the kitchen and tap on the cabinet's door and say "Honey Tar(Star), Eat Honey Tar". In a day, she could request for her favourite snack more than once or twice. I think cereal is not categorized as junk food huh..I presumed.

She only eats the Honey Stars when I pour it in a bowl..haha..she gets angry if I hand it to her in the wrapper..haha. She used to eat it using a spoon..hahaha..whereby she put the Honey Star on the spoon herself coz she doesn't know how to scoop it up using the spoon.*slap forehead* If there are 2 honey stars sticking to each other, she won't eat it instead she passes it to me and say "Open". I have to break the 2 apart and then she would gladly eat them..hahaha..

I think most kids like Honey Stars huh..hehe.

What Happened To Our New Sofa Set

We bought a new 3+2+1 sofa set from Lorenzo for our new house. When the new sofa set were delivered, we did not open the wrapping to check for any defect coz we were not moving in yet that time. As the wrapping was tightly secured, we were too confident about the state of the product and we didn't want to trouble ourselves to rewrap it again.

We only unwrapped the sofa set 2 weeks after the delivery date when we officially moved in to our new house. Checking for defects did not come to our mind mainly because we were too occupied with loads of boxes to be unpacked. Only after about 2 weeks did my Hubby noticed a slight scratch below the arm rest of the 3 seater. careless of us to forget about checking for any defect on the sofa. During the weekend we went to Lorenzo, Sunway Pyramid to complain about the issue. The manager told us to take a photo of the defective part.

About 3 days after the complaint(we haven't taken any photo of the defect yet), Lorenzo called us to inform that they will be coming to collect the 3 seater back to the warehouse for repair. True enough they were here last Monday and they will return the 3 seater after a week. Now, our living room is left with the 1+2 seater. I have read from one of the forums that Lorenzo service is bad but I think they have improved maybe they have received too many complaints already..hahaha. Lets see how the repair turn out later.

A scratch under the arm rest.

Wrapping the 3 seater.

Transporting the 3 seater back to the warehouse.
