Taman Safari Indonesia - Part 2

Let's continue with our adventure at Taman Safari Indonesia in Bogor. You can read about my previous post here. We were still in the car and we were halfway towards the end of our safari adventure. After which other activities await us.

More pictures of wild animals and some are very rare like the Bengal Tiger and White Rhino. In case you are wondering whether we are allowed to feed those ferocious carnivores like the tigers, lions, etc...it's a big "NO". We were constantly reminded to keep all windows closed when we are passing through their habitats.

Please click on the link to view the full post. ^_^

The Malayan Sun Bear

Black Panther. It was quite a distance away. I cropped this pic.

Leopard

Spotted an owl in the tree. The owl looked like a statue coz its really still. :)

A llama just beside our car.

It was amazing to venture into their habitats.

Gwen loves the giraffes. ^_^

Giraffes feeding time.

Bison

Gwen was getting a bit restless.

We were in the lions den..haha. We were really close to these amazing animals.

I guess they were already fed...haha..see how relaxed they are.

Close up of the beast.

The Sumatran Tigers. I love tigers! I am a Tiger myself. LOL.

White Rhino

Cheetah

The zebras are everywhere. This one's just beside my window.

Man made waterfall.

The feeling was like we were in a real jungle/safari.

An ostrich passing by.

Barbary sheeps.

A brown bear. To me they look scarier than the tigers coz they stare right at you and their noses were constantly sniffing. They have highly sensitive noses.

Finally, the magnificent White Tiger. So beautiful. We were about 2 metres away. ^_^

Orang utan.

Nyala.

Haha...I love this pic. ^_^

We were at the end of our safari trail. We could see people riding on the elephants here. We fed this elephant with the last bit of carrots.

Asking for more...hehe.

Ok...our Safari trail adventure ended here.

Coming up next...our up close and personal experiences with some of the wild animals. You can see me cuddling a baby orang utan too. ^_^

Love all your photos. So clear and nice! I think the closest experience I had was the safari in A Famosa Resort in Melaka but that was really nothing compared to yours here :-)

Wow, love all the photos you have there. Ops, how if the ostrich or elephant dont want to give their ways to the vehicles? This safari is so nice, I also want to go there.

Mommy to Chumsy March 18, 2010 7:41 PM

oh my...so closed to the animals, especially the lions. was it dangerous to be so closed to them?

Mummy Gwen March 18, 2010 9:42 PM

Barb: There are park attendants around. Don't wind down the windows. But we did wind down to take pics with extra precautions of course.

Mummy Gwen March 18, 2010 10:14 PM

Mummy Moon: The elephants are in their own enclosure. They won't be able to roam freely. This one you see is for people to ride on so there will be someone controlling the elephant. Park attendants are around too.
