Cough Again
Gwen just recovered from a flu and mild cough more than a week ago. She developed the symptoms when we were in KL. We brought her to see her Pediatrician (in KL) and the doctor wanted to give her Actifed (for common cold) and Prospan (for cough). I was aleady giving her Actifed then so I didn't get Actifed (according to the Paed, the one I got from the pharmacies and hers were the same) from her Paed.
Gwen has recovered a week after that but her cough and flu came back again few days ago. Her cough sounds bad and with lots of phlegm. Damn...not again! Both Hubby and I are paranoid over her cough coz those "moments" while she was hospitalized due to Pneumonia keep flashing back.
I'm giving her Prospan since Monday. I hope it works! I have no faith in the doctors here...shhhh.
On a happier note...my mum, my younger sister and my little nephew are coming to Jakarta this Friday!!!! I'm waiting anxiously for their arrival and we are going to Taman Safari Indonesia this Saturday.

Same with my Eugene, only with Neb he can recover fast from cough, or else to cough will drag and come and go like that. Did you know children age 5 start to develop asthma? Eugene is also 5yo, makes me very concern too.
Mummy Gwen, I hope she get well soon...Nowadays, the weather is terrible in M'sia too. No to worry, she'll enjoy till her max at the Taman Safari later! *_^
Poor Gwen. Chloe was down with a bad cough recently too (after returning from our holiday). I could hear the sound of very thick phlegm everytime she coughed but I didn't give her any medicines. I prefer to let her body fight it and true enough, in less than a week, she has self-recovered.

Poor Gwen, hope she can recover soon. My kids get cough recently too, but now getting recover, wonder it's the TIMO capsule I feed them help it.
For cough and phlegm, PD gave my kids Prospan, Mucoslovan or Fluimucil. Prospan is good medicine. Give Gwen some time, she will be ok soon. Not too worry.

Oh dear.Hope Gwen recover fast.I remembered you told me she was having flu when we had the BBQ at my home.Try give her vit C supplement and probiotics and Scots Emulsion to boost her immunity.
I heard Manuka honey is good for cough, some of the mommy blogger even feed their kids daily just to boost their immunity. My kids usually hv Yu Yan Sang Bee propolis for minor cough, it's quite effective.

Get well soon Gwen! I hope to we can go to the Safari - with no cough and colds!.. Joe Hin also is having mild cough and flu after recovered last week. Don't have the air cond to cold and long, not good for their lungs. Seems to recover faster without the aircond.

I used to feed Sarah with prospan whenever she cough. The first time it worked wonderful on her, but not the subsequent times.
