Trick or Treating
28th October 2011
Last Friday, Gwen attended her school's Costume Party. My animal lover girl wanted to dress up as a Bunny that day. :) Too bad I do not know where to get a Bunny costume for her. The best I could find was a Bunny mask.
The event started at 10.30 am where the teachers led the kids to offices, retail shops and restaurants (Gwen's school is located in a boutique mall) for some trick or treat fun.
This was my first trick or treat experience since parents were allowed to accompany their children to the event.
Here are some pictures taken during the Costume Party. I didn't make it last year coz I didn't know parents were welcomed...duh.
That's Gwen in her best Bunny pose..LOL. Vincent was Batman that day. Picture taken at our hotel lobby while waiting for the car to school.
Gwen with some of her classmates. See how petite my girl is. That extremely tall girl is one of the teachers' daughter and she is from another school.
Kids from other classes...3 - 5 year olds. All of them looked so cute that day. :)
Gwen with some of her classmates. There were only 7 students in K2 (Gwen is in K2 now). One of her classmates was in a dinosaur costume...so cool...I wonder where did her mummy get that costume from...
Kids lining up for their trick or treat session.
Gwen got herself some candies..yay.
After the trick or treat session ended, the kids went back to their respective classrooms. I allowed Gwen to have a piece of candy.
Before we head home, I took some pics of Gwen with her classmates and teachers.
All the sweet treats she got from trick or treat. I hid all the candies from Gwen..hehe. I rarely give her candies.
Ok...that was Part 1 of trick or treating. Part 2 is next coz later in the evening, our hotel management had organized a Colouring Contest/Trick or Treat (only the kids) for the residents and followed by dinner.
Gwen doing her colouring. She really has short attention span and gets distracted easily. *Mama shakes head* Her colouring wasn't good enough so she didn't win anything but on the other hand Vincent won first prize.
The children were divided into few groups. I tagged along too during trick or treat.
We were outside one of the apartments collecting treats. :) That was a Malaysian family..hehe.
Gwen and I left early coz she was tired and wanted to go home. Papa came home early from work that day and all of us went to the Halloween Party Dinner together at 7 pm.
Gwen collected so many "goodies" that day.
Bag given by the hotel and filled with treats from the trick or treat session.
Sweets overload.
Each child was given a goodie bag by our hotel.
Inside the goodie bag.
While at the Halloween Party having dinner, Gwen received another goodie bag. More junk food! -___-

Oh my my.. horror of all horrors - the candies!!!
Junk food everywhere :)
Life in Jakarta sound fun, but normally what we heard/see from media are not that pleasant.
wow..so many treats!! sure must be very fun for the kids..
I didn't know that Halloween is celebrated on such a "big scale" in Jkt. Gwen must be really thrilled to receive so many goodie bags... really candy overload haha. She looked cute in her bunny costume and pose :)
She looks so cute in her white bunny outfit. Noticed she posed very well with her two hands in many of the photos too. Smart girl!
Kids are the happiest during Halloween because of overloaded candies. Mine are always looking forward the 9th Emperor Festival because of candies too. Too bad we don't celebrate Halloween here, otherwise there would be another round of candy night.
Em, I also wonder where the parents got the dinosaur costume. Gwen is adorable in her white bunny costume.
So nice to attend the Halloween Party. Her costume is cute but if she wearing buddy ear hair band instead of mask would be nicer. Cause the mask hide her beautiful eyes :)
