My Last Post From Jakarta

One more day to go and Gwen and I will be moving back to KL for good. So, this will be my last posting from Jakarta and a rojak one which also include all my back-dated posts. :P

Somehow I'm not feeling excited about moving back to KL...well the thought of Hubby staying on here in Jakarta makes me not so looking forward to this coming Friday. Hubby is taking 2 weeks annual leave and we have already planned this earlier so that he would be around when Gwen starts school in Jan next year.

At least Papa get to send Gwen to her new school (like he used to do in Jakarta) for a week and spend some quality time with us. :(

Sorry for getting emo here, ok let's move on...

Gwen as a model?

Remember I blogged about Kidzania? Here's a continuation of one of the "jobs" Gwen held in Kidzania.

LOL...Gwen was given a brief lesson on modelling.

Gwen was dressed in pretty outfits and had a make-over. Only the top belonged to Gwen.

Gwen was having a photo-shoot. ^_^

Yes, there was a big stage for her to do her catwalk too! I tell you, Gwen is not born to be a model..her walk is quite awkward (maybe not enough practice and everything happened too fast). Only us and a couple were there in the audience.

We bought 2 photos of Gwen taken during the photo-shoot. This was one of the photos. I love the skirt!

Gwen Played Golf For The First Time

My Hubby has taken up golf ever since he landed himself in Jakarta. The main reason for this was he always gets invited to play golf for free so that's how it all started. Unlike Malaysia, it's not necessary to be a 'member' to enjoy golf here in Indon.

Papa bought Gwen a golf club and he took Gwen and I to the driving range one day.

Not bad...she got gaya here..haha.

It was not easy for her to hit the ball. Eventually she gets the hang of it. Don't think she will have this chance when she is back in KL. It was a good experience.

Papa and Mama's surprise from the Hotel

It was Hubs and my birthday. Our hotel management sent us this on our birthday. This year, no flowers for me..hehe.

Dinosaurs Lover

If there's dinosaur, for sure you will be seeing Gwen there..LOL.

A T-Rex made of rattan at Pacific Mall.

Gwen requested a photo with a dinosaur stuffed toy in Toys Kingdom.

Papa's Thai friend bought Gwen 3 dinosaurs stuffed toys from Surabaya. Papa was in Surabaya for almost a week due to work.

Our Outings

We always end up in Grand Indonesia during our weekends outing. Gwen was begging us to bring her to Carnival (an amusement park).

Finally, her wish came true. :)

Once a week we usually will bring Gwen to Fun World without fail. Her fave game is Animal Kaiser.

She likes this game because she loves animals. -___-

We have collected lots of tickets at Fun world and we redeemed all this for Gwen.

Gwen's Animal Kaiser card collection.

Something New

Gwen got a 'souvenir' from her form teacher whose son celebrated his 3rd birthday at Gwen's former pre-school.

First time seeing such unique "party favours". A table with foldable stands.

Behind the table.

Learning Mandarin

Gwen had her first Mandarin test few weeks ago. She only had Mandarin lesson once a week. I spent a few days preparing her for her Mandarin test. I'm glad she was able to write all the Chinese characters by herself with the correct sequence of strokes.

She got 100% on her Mandarin test. It was a simple test. I thought the test required her to write those Chinese characters but only numbers instead.

This is a good start. she is giving some positive feedback in learning Mandarin. I can't wait to send her to Bao Bei once we are back in KL.

I tested her and she got all correct.

Gwen's Farewell Party

Today (15th Dec 2011) is the last day of school for the 2nd term. On this day, Gwen had to bid farewell to Stellar Kids after almost 2 years studying there. :(

We decided to plan a farewell party for her to celebrate with all the students at her pre-school. We ordered Hoka Hoka Bento (a Japanese style fast food restaurant) for all the kids and teachers too. We also bought a cake (with lots of strawberries as topping) and fruit juices too.

The teachers and all the kids sang a few songs to Gwen. It was a warm and lively farewell party that Gwen will remember for a very long time.

Daddy and Mummy were there to take pics on this memorable day.

Here are some pics and videos taken at the farewell party.

Gwen getting all excited before the farewell party starts.

Daddy knows Gwen loves strawberries so he bought this cake especially for her dear princess.

The food that we ordered : 1 pc Ekkado + 3 pcs egg chicken roll + 1 portion salad + 1 rice. Picture courtesy from the website.

Venus class. Gwen keep looking down at the cake...haha.

Jupiter 1 class.

Some of them brought presents for Gwen too. Thank you, friends!

A group photo with all the teachers and students. Thank you and Goodbye to all the teachers and friends at Stellar Kids. Gwen will miss you all!

Not to forget, a pic with Daddy and Mummy.

Gwen couldn't wait to open her farewell pressies at home.

Everyone sang Gwen's fave song...something Jelly Fish..LOL.

Gwen's Last Christmas Performance In Jakarta

This week is Gwen's last week of school for Term 2. Gwen will not continue on to Term 3 at her pre-school here in Jakarta as Gwen and I will be moving back to KL for good on 23rd Dec this year. *sob sob*

Last Friday (9th Dec 2011) Gwen's pre-school held a Christmas celebration at the Lobby of the mall where her pre-school is located in.

Few weeks ago, Gwen's teacher asked me for permission whether Gwen could say a little prayer on stage before the programme starts. Gwen's teacher added that Gwen is given this "special" moment coz it will be her last performance and last few days of school. Without hesitation I replied "Yes".

Daddy had an important meeting to attend so he did not make it to Gwen's Christmas concert! *hmmpf*

The stage.

Gwen and her classmates getting ready in the waiting/dressing room. From L to R : J from China, N from Indonesia, K from Indonesia, C from Malaysia, V from Indonesia, Gwen from Malaysia and D from Indonesia.

Gwen's outift for one of her dance performances (her own). I quickly snapped a picture of her beside a Christmas tree.

The food station. All of us were told to bring food to share.

Gwen was getting ready to say a prayer. Beside Gwen was the school's principal. It was nothing lah coz she just read from the paper. :) As I had to take pics and videos all by myself, I missed the moment to capture Gwen on video. I managed to take this photo but by the time I set up my digicam to take her video...dang...her prayer was over! :( I'm glad that Gwen didn't show any symptoms of stage fright. :)

Gwen's first dance to a fast paced Christmas song by Mariah Carey.

Gwen's 2nd performance. A drama about Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. Gwen was one of the reindeers.

Another dance performance.

Parents were called on stage to receive a small gift from their children (sponsored by Food Hall). As I could not take a pic of both of us, I took a pic of Gwen instead. She said "I Love You Mama" and presented me the gift. :)

Last but not least, a pic of Gwen waiting patiently for her name to be called....

....to receive her christmas gift from Santa (presents from the parents).

She was a happy camper that day.

Gwen's Christmas pressie. That blue bird is from the series "Zoobles". You know lah my girl has very unique fascination for toys...haha. The pink one was bought way before that. She only wanted that blue bird named Reel. I topped up with that cute Bunny stuffed toy coz I think it's beautiful. Luckily, she loves the Bunny too. :)
